Budapest Airport reconnects with Stuttgart by welcoming the return of Eurowings. Stuttgart is one of German’s largest cities.
The German low cost carrier plans to increase frequency to four times weekly in June unlike the twice weekly service its been conducting in May. The carrier is planning to add Thursdays and Sundays to the Mondays and Fridays it has initially been operating.
Balázs Bogáts, Head of Airline development, Budapest Airport recognised the importance of the Hungarian gateway. He said, “Stuttgart is well-known as a manufacturing hub and the return of Eurowings’ flights will prove an essential uplift to the redevelopment of a route network with a proven strong market”.
He further said that the customers have demonstrated pent-up demand for vital links such as Stuttgart, and Eurowings’ commitment to these services is hugely encouraging for those passengers keen to start travelling again.
Eurowings is going to use its fleet of 150-seat A319s to resume services to one of Budapest’s consistent largest country markets hence, boosting connections to Western Europe again.
