EgyptAir Initiates New Route Connection

EgyptAir initiated a new route to be operated from Prague, Czech Republic to Hurghada, Egypt.

This route is aimed at reviving air travel and supporting tourism links between Egypt and Czech Republic.

According to the Airline, the first flight flew with 97 passengers aboard on 17th June.The Airline’s Airbus A220-300 with a total of 137 seats and Wi-Fi connectivity will operate this route twice a week on Thursday & Sunday.

The four & a half hour flight ticket fares include a 23kgs piece of checked luggage together with a free snack and access to the in-flight entertainment system with one’s mobile device.

Airspace Africa quotes the Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business Jaroslav Filip as saying, “Direct flights from Prague to popular holiday resorts in Egypt have long been sought after by Czech passengers. We believe that, during the summer season, the new connection to Hurghada will be used by those interested in trips organized by travel agencies and individual tourists alike. We are also glad that an entirely new carrier has decided to service Václav Havel Airport Prague despite the current situation”.

He further mentioned that they can see a potential for flights from Prague to other destinations in Egypt, which they are already negotiating with airlines.

Passengers with scheduled flights are advised to follow all valid conditions for travel before their trips throughout the 2021 summer season.
