Ethiopian Airlines commences operating flights with fully vaccinated crew

Ethiopian Airlines started operating flights with fully vaccinated crew against Covid-19 on 23rd June, to ensure the travelers safety.

Ethiopian Airlines commenced with front line employee vaccination on 14th May 2021 as safety being the airlines’ first priority.

The CEO of the Airlines Tewolde GebreMariam said that the Airline is pleased to operate flights with fully vaccinated crew it being a significant step in protecting their employees’ and customers’ health safety.

The Airline is encouraged by the increasing number of passengers traveling for business, VFR & tourism that is supported by the confidence of vaccination across the world according to the CEO.

The CEO further said that the airline has bought and imported more than 37,000 vaccine shots for the employees and stakeholders.

The Airline has continuously ensured maximum protection of its employees and customers by implementing Covid-19 precautionary measures that include digitization of its operations, launching of its own testing and isolation center and also, carries essential medical supplies that include vaccines to the world in addition to operating repatriation flights for stranded people.
