Ethiopian Airlines to resume flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina

Ethiopia’s national carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, will be resuming direct flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina after it ceased flights to the country in June this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions in Argentina.

Ethiopian Airlines will fly Addis Ababa, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires by December 12, using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, and operating three weekly flights.

Before the suspension of flights in June, Ethiopian Airlines was operating three to five times a week in Buenos Aires.

The new arrangement is still subjected to changes depending on travel restrictions in Argentina and Brazil, the coronavirus situation in the region, and its impact on demand.

At the moment, Sao Paulo is Ethiopian Airlines’ only destination in the Latin Americas, operating regular weekly flights.
