Global won the advertising contract for Birmingham Airport. This has boosted it’s position as the largest airport media owner in UK.
Birmingham Airport joins other outdoor portfolio that Global already holds giving it a reach of 50% of UK airport audiences. These include London Gatwick Airport and Manchester Airport among others.
The deal will see Global boost advertising revenue for Birmingham Airport, while working to provide advertisers with deeper insight into international and domestic travelling audiences, as restrictions lift and international travel resumes.
Jason Cotterrell, COO at Global Outdoor believes that the partnership creates an opportunity for brands to connect with premium environments as customer demand returns.
He said, “It has been a hugely challenging time for the travel industry, however we firmly believe in the potency of the airport environment, and this partnership creates an opportunity for brands to connect with people in premium environments as customer demand returns. We are excited to working with the Birmingham Airport team as we embark on this new partnership”.
Richard Gill, commercial director at Birmingham Airport said that they are looking forward to working with Global to deliver successful advertising campaigns to passengers travelling through their Airport.
He also said that, managing their advertising assets and making the most of what their airport has to offer is an important part of their business.
