Tanzanian Government Vows to improve Air Tanzania services

The remark was given by the Tanzanian Minister of Work and Transport, Minister Dr Leonard Chamuriho in his speech read on behalf by his deputy Minister Eng Godfrey Kasekenya at the lauching of the first sitting of the second ATCL workers council.

Dr Chamuhiro cited the objectives as including the purchase of three aircraft, a Bombadier and two Airbus whose purchase was going according to plan. He said the tender for purchase of five more planes including one cargo plane is expected to be finalized by the end of 2020/21 financial year.

He further said the government will keep on empowering ATCL so as to contribute more into the economic growth of the Tanzania and realizing its industrial policy. And lastly, he also said the government will continue to deal with ATCL debts that have continuously affected its performance.
